  • When you travel with Rottnest Fast Ferries, you can get to the island in 45 minutes. If you’re staying in the CBD, we are the fastest travel route to the island. Book our complimentary hotel transfer and your round trip will be quicker than departing from Perth or Fremantle.

  • We recommend booking online as far in advance as possible to secure your spot-on board our ferry. In peak times, including summer months, weekends and school holidays, our ferry can sell out very quickly.

  • Our ferry departs from the northern end of the Hillarys Boat Harbour. At the dock located behind The Breakwater bar and restaurant. You can find our ticketing office at the southwest end of the precinct, facing Southside Drive.

  • Our timetable changes depending on the season and the time of the week. We generally offer 2-3 departure and return times or more per day, see our most up to date timetable

  • You can buy your ferry tickets packaged with a bike, bus ticket, Segway or even via a helicopter! We also offer experience packages including tours, whale watching, accommodation and more. See examples below, or find our full list of packages here.

  • Yes, we can accommodate wheelchairs on our ferry with advance notice. The main settlement is also wheelchair accessible. We can take prams on board, however, depending on capacity, the pram may need to be stowed. Find out more here.

  • Hillarys Boat Harbour is located 20 minutes north of Perth. You can drive to Hillarys and park for FREE. We offer complimentary hotel pick-up and drop off transfer departing from Perth.   • If your ticket has a barcode in the top right hand corner, this means you do not have to check in to our ticketing office. Your ticket is your boarding pass and you can head straight down to our ferry terminal.

    For those who have booked accommodation, you can either arrange luggage labels in advance or organise it on the day at our ticketing office.

  • Bikes, snorkel sets, wetsuits, stand-up paddleboards, accommodation items and more can be hired on the island. We hire out our custom-built bikes and snorkel sets. These can be added to your ferry fare when booking online. Then are picked up from our ticketing office at Hillarys Boat Harbour prior to your departure.

  • If you have hired a bike and/or snorkel set, you can collect your items from our ticketing office at Hillarys Boat Harbour prior to departure.

  • You are welcome to bring your own bike, scuba diving gear, surfboard, kayak, stand-up paddleboard and more. However, freight charges do apply to stow your equipment on our ferry. Find out more here.
